Knowledge of Ages

ID-100431685

I thought,
Those times were distractions,
Taking me away from my goals.

I looked back,
They were great memories,
Taking me closer to myself.

I sighed,
Why didn’t I enjoy?
Those moments were precious.

I realized,
The time only teaches,
Lessons which are invaluable.

I grumbled,
I won’t get back that time,
To live wholeheartedly this time.

I wondered,
Is there anything that tells,
Where to focus on?

I questioned,
What did I get?
By overlooking those moments.

I discerned,
That’s how conscience develops,
By making mistakes.

I became,
More enlightened,
By accepting the truth.

The crazy fact,
I achieved,
Not my goals,
But knowledge of ages.
